The Strategy
Candle shopping can be boring, but Updog squashes that problem by offering an exclusive mail club with limited edition scents and exciting collaborations. Updog encourages us all to connect with our inner child through humor, nostalgia, and play.
A main pillar of Updog’s brand is to take a beat and enjoy the small pleasures in life — to stop and smell the flowers! We wanted all photography to feel immersive and capture nature in motion, contrasted by people practicing their own versions of self care.




The Logo
Our logo was inspired by the funky bubble letters we all used to doodle in our composition notebooks during class. They’re not meant to be perfect or pretty, but they embody the playful and nostalgic spirit of Updog.
The Colors
One of the most exciting parts of Updog’s brand is that they’re not afraid of loud colors or clashing patterns. Our color palette was primarily inspired by the glossy plastic toys from our childhoods: Mr. Potato Head, Fisher Price Chatterbox Telephones, iSpy books, and Barbie.
